Not that this isnt a terriffic site, but asaide from YAHOO Groups, does anyone know of similar sites where people going to DESIRE can get to know each other?

After using desire's forum for so long, Wayne was nice enough to set this up. And till word of mouth passes this forum around, it may be a bit slow. But this seems to be the best for now

I agree - does seem that Desire traffic is a bit down. We always go the first week in January and this year it seems harder to connect with others at that time. Even Dennyp's site does not list as many travelers as in past year. Maybe its the economy/election.

This is probably the best open forum site available. The traffic on the site isn't quite what it was under the Desire home page but the people who post here seem more civilized or respectful.

One has to wonder if the quality (or lack thereof) of the product - the hotel - combined with relatively high rates is starting to have a slowing effect on Desire. I doubt it, because the people are what makes Desire a great resort, not the property. Airfares are still affordable to Cancun but Cabo is slightly higher.

I think the "slowing effect" is going to be the horrible state of the economy....nobody that has any money wants to spend it now....

When it was slow it was OK. As A Realtor it has just plain stopped. Talk about a profession crashing and burning. No buying of houses, cars, big screen TV's and any other large ticket items including exotic vacation. Home Depot and Lowe's are off by 30% because whatever remodeling has to be done can just plain wait. Gas is under $3.09 in Philly/NJ and the air prices go up with added charges for fuel. Ummmmmmmmmm, something is wrong with this picture. If the prices continually go up at Desire the occupancy rate has got to fall. Sort of the domino theory.

This is a terrific sight. Each time we look its improved. I like this one better than the old one.. However, it is up to the members. We would like to post photos.. so we can somewhat recognize one another. But participation is the only thing that will make it all happen. So come on people.. its DESIRES!! The naughty hotel where anything goes.. the place where there better not be clothing.. (you all have us worried now..ha ha) The place where the hot tub can open new doors. They playroom can be dreamed about for years... The whole reason we all go there is to fool around. There are plenty of risque beaches in the world, but there is only one really good Desire club.
We will be doing naughty things at the hot tub, very naughty, and in the playroom. We will be nude as often as possible. We love Desire! Please dont change it to a mostly clothed, abstainer resort. The Marriot is lovely for that. Does anyone agree?
