Why do we go to Desire & Pay so much to enjoy vacation

Hello Everyone & Coke Mann please help us if our views are a bit off as we know you will.

We are very concerned at this point to cancel our pearl reservation of which will be a huge disappointment as we love the resort and have to head back to RM.

We just got an email from some friends currently at Desire Pearl right now who are pleading with management to let them shift over to RM for the rest of their vacation.

Their complaint is No Energy & No Vibe.

60% of couples are fully clothed around the pool and beach.

Only half a dozen couples in the club at midnight and even less in the jacuzzi not the desire resort format at all.

We are Desire RM Vets and Pearl Rookies and really enjoyed Pearl for the larger pool and hottub and rooms as well as just the larger feel and close to town.

We are the couple who is naked all day, love to be social around the pool bar and of course ready for the bar games.

We are sexy come dinner and dancing at night and usually naked having fun by midnight exploring .

We work all year and when we go on vacation we want to let loose,run naked and be a little wicked and wild meeting other fun couples and howl at the moon and laugh til our sides hurt. THIS IS WHY WE GO TO DESIRE

How many Adults Only Resorts Are CLOTHING OPTIONAL & LIFESTYLE FRIENDLY

They have like 20 or so Adult Only Resorts for half the price where you can run around fully clothed in 2 string ittys bitsy bikinis and board shorts all day

When we go on vacation we lose our identity as well as our inhibitions hanging out naked around the pool bar we have nothing to hide and the best times meeting friends from around the world.

Guess in the end we all enjoy different things but the point if you want a normal vacation go to a normal resort

If you enjoy being naked ,the lifestyle interests your fancy be it voyeur or explorer & having fun on vacation outside the normal bonds of life excites you then Desire is a fit.

If it's not then 20 or so other resorts at half the price might be better.

Desire makes everything optional but lets be real newbie or vet we all know why we go to Desire it's for the OPTIONS otherwise we would go somewhere else.

Prepare,buy your outfits,join the fun, be social & get naked with new friends no one is a stranger when everyone is naked lol lol.

We are going in 8 more sleeps. Suitcase is half packed (mainly with shoes)! Lol. We are newbies but plan on really really enjoying our trip. I have shopped for outfits, heels, theme attire, games (hubby found a Never have I..deck of cards) & more. We are going to make sure we have a good time even if it is just us. We hope to make new friends but really even if we get to be relaxed & naked with no kids screaming. I will have a big smile on my face. Hope to see some of you there.

We just got back from a wonderful week at Desire Pearl. It's a beautiful resort! The staff are there to please - they just can't do enough for you - whatever you ask for, they will do their darndest to give it to you. From the time we walked in from the time we left, it was magical. For us, it was like living a dream.

The rooms are spotless and very large with lots of closet and drawer space.

The jacuzzi is huge - temperature is just right, the bartenders are fantastic.

The food was delicious! If you don't get enough, ask for more. They will get it for you.

Top shelf liquor. I asked for a martini and they asked if I wanted Schmirnoff or Grey Goose. It was one of the best martinis I have ever had.

The beach is 'better', with a beach bar close at hand, palm trees swaying in the breeze, lots of beds and loungers to be had and the beach and pool staff are more than happy to help you set up where you want to park your butt for the day. You can be nude on the beach or not - it's up to you. There is a fair amount of beach walkers that come by and take a look, that just adds to the fun.

There were nude and not nude people at the beach and pool - but who cares?

The entertainment staff were wonderful!!! Sexy and gorgeous and lots of fun.

The disco was fun and the male DJ took requests and actually played them - but it did seem to empty out early - the playroom was busy, busy, busy almost every night. The swing was fun to try.

I'll write a more 'formal' trip report later but all I can say is that we loved Desire Pearl and would go back - but we also want to go back to Desire RM and Desire Cabo - we love those properties as well.

All the Desire properties have their own vibe to them and are fantastic, in our minds, in their own way. It's tough to compare them as they are just so different.

Thanks bama couple, we too have been to RM twice and each time it was an absolute HIT! We feel the same way as you do, we save up and look forward to letting loose for the 5 days a year we go to Desire, because the other 360 days we lead very vanilla lives, with kids and work and bills and on and on! Both times at RM we have met a ton of exciting and outgoing and fun couples just like us. One theme we have found throughout the lifestyle and not just in Desire is that you make your own fun and you have to take the initiative to go out and meet people and be outgoing. We found that parties and good times don't just land in your lap if you sit back and watch the show go by. And we live in NYC to boot - where everyone says its the swinging capital and sexxiest couples in the world. DONT believe the hype You really have to put the effort into the lifestyle to get what you want out of it.

We arrive to Pearl in two weeks and we have read a ton of trip reports and comments on this site. We have had friends stay at Pearl this past December and had a blast and we have read some terribly negative comments from a few couples that seem to put a damper on people's expectations at the resort. Maybe it's people setting up too high expectations at the resort, thinking all 84 couples are in the lifestyle. One thing we love about Desire vs. Hedo and others is that you can be a little more mature and laid back at the pool and beach, you can wear a top or bathing suit if you feel like it, or go butt nekked. We found hedo to be a sex fest and way too much even for us. We like intimate settings, getting to know couples, the anticipation of playing with a couple. This is a funny forum if you think about it, this entire site is centered around lifestyle resorts and encounters, yet its very vanilla when it comes to talking about couples (not saying you have to name names) but you will find very, very few topics or chatter about the lifestyle in particular, meeting couples, experiences, what to do, what not to do, etc. But hey if you want to know where to tip the right person for a beach bed there's probably 15 thread on that lol.

Bottom line is if you go to Pearl and find 1 or 2 attractive in shape couples that you vibe and play with then you can say it was a HELLUVA trip!

We we'll be at pearl in june no way were gonna cancel it's too beautiful and amazing plus we'll make our own fun and be the instigators if necessary in others fun.We are the same loving the fun intimate connections.We'll be naked by the day enjoying the pool bar and the games making our own fun and always full of laughs.Dressing up for dinner and dancing sharing more laughs with new friends and naked in the hot tub by midnight or our room with new friends Iol lol exploring more intimate fun.as we are lifestyle friendly too putting it nicely lol lol.We love the sexual atmosphere and the exploration with connection and chemistry it 's intimate and classy sharing not a must but an option if the conversation comes up and it usually does lol lol.We always say we are very open and fun nudists who openly enjoy the intimate softer side of the lifestyle but not full swingers . I assume that everyone there is an ADULT and in a COUPLE.

I'm not sure what you want? Do you want the resort to be a nudist, swingers only resort? My guess is that the place would be even more dead than it is 'claimed" to be now and/or would go out of business...

Not everyone wants to be naked all the time. Some want to be naked some of the time. My wife for example. I was fine being naked, She was a little more inhibited. Should I not be able to go to a place with her, my ADULT COUPLE, and enjoy the nudity and the erotic (maybe not enough for some) vibe of the place?

You take people like us out of the equation and I think you'd see Desire struggle to maintain three resorts.

Our experience was that 100% of women at the pool were topless/naked and, IIRC, almost all the men were. It was more than we had expected. At the beach? Different story, IMO. It is a public beach and there are clothed passersby. My wife just wasn't as comfortable in that scenario.
