July weather

We have never been to Desire and are thinking about a trip in late July. Can anyone share what the weather is like? Is it too hot to be out, or does the breeze off the gulf make it enjoyable? We are not in the lifestyle, nor nudist, just like to be around folks having fun and doing their own thing. The adult atmosphere sounds fun and we hope to share lots of time together enjoying the benefits of such a place. We don't mind others doing what they want, either in the lifestyle or nude, we are looking forward to folks being themselves. Is it really ok if we do not go nude? We end up leaving our suits on all week? My wife in her tankini and me n my board shorts? This is the only thing keeping us from booking the week, just uncertain of what to expect. Otherwise, is sounds like the perfect place for the two of us to enjoy each other and possibly make a new friend or two

We've never been to Pearl - our first trip is in May, but we are going with the attitude that since the resort is identified as Clothing Optional, that means that what you wear (or don't wear) is in fact optional. Which means if you want to keep your suit on, go ahead. We have been to Hedo so we are going here with the idea that there will be a lot (major majority) of people that will be nude, but there will be some you choose to wear some sort of a cover-up. And to me, that is just fine. If it was a pure nude-resort, you would lose out on a lot of first-timers who aren't sure if they are ready for being nude in public.

We will start off in some sort of suit - even if it is a wicked weasel bikini for Rose. And if someone has issues with that, then phooey on them!

Two4fun: This is nothing that you have not already read. Desire is wonderful. There is absolutely no pressure of expectation of wearing or not wearing clothing. As you said, perhaps after a few moments to get acclimated to the place, most begin to loose their clothes .... it is all so liberating! Still, you will see a few men with shorts and some women with swimsuits (usually bottoms). The whole atmosphere is just reassuring for "nakedness" as you see all types of people in terms of size, age, nationality, etc., and in the end, it's simply FUN to be there. The weather??? We will return to Pearl the second week in June. From our experience, June and July are great months as we have experienced ~85 - 90 degrees during the day (great breeze) and ~75 degrees at night ........... both are perfect! Enjoy ... perhaps we will see you in the pool!

Thanks for the great information! We will hopefully be booking our trip soon! Tommer, if we are there in June I am sure we will see you at the pool! We were most worried if July was just too hot to enjoy the resort. But sounds like it will be wonderful. We plan on taking at least one day and seeing the sights around the area, looks like there is a lot of options to choose from.

Having been to Desire the last week of July the past three years, and headed back to Pearl that week this year, we can unequivocally say that the weather is HOT. Beautiful, but hot, every days in the 90's and very high humidity.....although there seems to be very high humidity no matter what time of year you go. If you're pool people, you will spend your entire day in the pool, as it is simply too hot to remain out of the water on a lounge for very long. If you do intend to go on outside excursions, head out as early as possible to avoid the hottest times of the day.....but also be aware that once you get to Desire, the vast majority of folk are immediately afflicted with sand gravity and never seem to make it outside the confines of the property

Our second week in June time sounds a bit more comfortable than the late July time. We spend about half of the day in the pool and the rest of the time on the beach-beds and walking the beach. The constant breeze is always welcomed! I, big time, agree with sand gravity ..... once you are at the resort having all of the fun you will have, it's hard to want to leave and loose precious moments Pearl time! Let the relaxation and fun begin!!

Thanks powderfinger and tommer. Sounds like a week of sand worshipping might just be what we need. Either month sounds nice, so once we figure out our schedule we can make official plans. We have never been to Mexico, so that's why we had considered trying to see a little bit of it, but relaxation is our top priority! We enjoy sitting on the beach and at the pool, no work, no worries! Maybe a catamaran trip would be a better option, if we decide to do anything other than chilling.

@ Two4fun - there is a lot of interesting things to see and do in the area - however one suggestion would be come down a couple of days early, stay in a cheap resort/hotel in Playa del Carmen or even the Cancun Hotel Zone - do the tours during this time - then have your vacation at Desire

Did you stay for an entire week for your first time? Since we have never been to a clothing optional resort, we were not sure if a whole week might be a long time to start with.

We arrived on a Sunday and departed the following Saturday and wanted more days!!! We like to relax when we go on vacation and Pearl was a great stress reliever for us.

We will be spending a few days in late July at Desire then finish off our vacation at Temptation. You might want to look into that. It is topless optional and a big party atmosphere all day long. From what I hear it is not as nice as Desire as far has hotel features, but if you are worried about full nude you won't have that worry there. Plus you still get that adult only atmosphere. Just a suggestion. Maybe split between to get both experiences.
