Visitor's day pass?

Postby lshanab » Sun Jan 27, 2013 7:40 pm

Hi all. We're coming down to Pearl this spring and are psyched to see it for the first tine. We have some c.o. and savvy friends staying at another nearby resort at the same time and hope to spend some time with them while we're both there. Anybody know if Pearl allows visitors on the premises, and what the charges might be for a day pass? Suspect its not allowed but don't know for sure. Much appreciate any info.

All Desire properties do not offer day or night passes and visitors are not allowed on the property - if you want to meet your friends you will have to do it "off campus"

btw - almost AI resorts in the Cancun HZ and along the Riviera Maya do not allow outside visitors onto their property, a very few do offer day passes but the passes tend to be almost as expensive as booking a room for one day

Thanks, Coke. Yeah, that's what we figured. Hidden Beach sells day passes for something like US$250 per couple (I think), but still too high for our liking anyway. Thanks for the reply. Think we'll try to meet up in Puerto Morales for a day.

We are loved up married couple in early 30's :-)
While on holidays we don't take ourselves too seriously, we love laughing, meeting nice people and making new friends.

Do the sister resorts offer a stay at one play at the other? Staying at Desire Pearl; are we able to visit DesireRM?
Thanks

At this point in time if you are staying at either property you can visit the other resort as long as there is no group takeover happening at it.
You will have to pay for your own transportation both ways and if you want to stay and eat dinner at the other resort there is a per person charge.

Ok, I'm confused because I've received different answers. We will be at DP in late may. We are hoping to visit RM while we were there to see if we'd want to visit there next. The master calendar lists "SDS experience" for RM. Is this considered a takeover? We will be pretty disappointed if we can't visit but I'd rather know upfront.

The group is actually SDC and yes the Sexperience TakeOver is one of their regular group takeovers at Desire RM - it is very popular and they almost always sell out their trips.

Sorry about the typo. Thanks for the explanation. That's too bad, I was looking forward to looking around the place.

i would still ask, just explain your situation and while they may not let you have a whole day pass they will probably give you a tour mnus the rooms since they would full.
