It would suck to get bumped from your intended resort if the guests were absolutely against it. However, when the same thing has happened to us we were VERY happy on previous trips to other beach destination vacations. One thing that comes to mind is the cheapest room at Pearl is I think at least $100 more then the cheapest room at RM...$380 I think...June rates being referenced. Upgrades typically work out for the best. Upgrades could be subjective I suppose.
My thoughts on this whole situation seeming to happen often during the initial opening weeks is this...
The Pearl may not for a long time have the same erotic vibe (PDA/PDS etc.) if the regulars do not want to try the Pearl and give it time to become the same if not better then RM. In my opinion it will be the regulars visiting Pearl that will help create the same erotic/sex filled vibe existing at RM. Newbies like us will probably be more reluctant to engage in PDA/PDS if we don't first see it from other guests.
We chose Pearl because RM was sold out the weekend we are going. We're hoping our decision turns out not to be just because RM was sold out

Based on the feedback we're already very skeptical of the sexual vibe present at Pearl when we'll be there. No groups appear to be booked for the weekend.
