rooms under the jacuzzi

Postby GACouple116 » Tue Sep 06, 2011 9:51 am

Hey everyone, for those who had rooms under the jacuzzi, was it real loud all night?

Just curious since we have a oocean view room and if right under the jacuzzi, I am thinking that might be real loud with the jets

thoughts?

Hello GA Couple

Well, we have never stayed in that building. However, we have been told it is not bad at all on the ground level. . The rooms on second floor we understand you can hear just a bit. Perhaps someone on here can answer first hand that has stayed in that building.

Great location though if you are a pool person.

Hope that helps a little.
Have a great day.

Only 37 more days for us as of today :)

On our first trip to Desire in 2010, we were on the second floor of the Jacuzzi building. We never noticed much noise, for sure nothing that interrupted us when we were sleeping. As mentioned, the building is a great location if you like to be near the pool, so we actually requested the same room for our trip earlier this year. It was mostly the same experience this year, except there was one night when for about an hour there was a lot of noise that sounded like chairs being scooted across the floor. We never figured out whether it was activity from the roof or someone was getting wild in one of the other rooms. So in our experience, it hasn't been that noisy being in a room under the Jacuzzi - at least for our two trips.

We stayed in several of the garden view rooms in the jacuzzi building. The noise from the jets is comparable to the sound of an air conditioner, it did not bother us. As Groken mentioned the movement of chairs did wake us up a couple of times. On one of our stays, back in 2004 or 2005 the hot tub was so full with people that water somehow overflowed into the corner room on the ocean view side. I am sure they fixed that problem. Those rooms do seem a little bigger and seem to have a bigger shower area. We actually requested them on several occasions.

Take some earplugs....We had the room directly below the jacuzzi the first time we went and didn't notice noise, but it leaked....

no problem

We were on the first floor facing the parking lot. Not the best location because of the view but there was no problem with the noise. Didn't hear a thing.

We have stayed in the 2nd floor room directly below the jacuzzi twice (fluke, we asked for that building, got the same room twice) and heard no noise whatsoever from above. We could hear people going up the stairs to the jacuzzi through the bathroom window, but we just closed that window at night.
