I'm sure there is more than one answer to that. It's just a matter of what you are looking for. I assume you have looked at the Desire room map here in the forum FAQS section ?
You'll see that there are about 36 total OV rooms.
8 of those are actually behind the pool in building 10 and not on the beach. You do have an ocean view but..
The building 10 rooms are excellent- large, all with king beds and all with more shelving and larger bathrooms than most buildings on the resort. It is not a "quiet zone" though- the noise starts around the pool at about 8 AM and you can have some night time noise from the rooftop hot tub.
The other 28 OV rooms are on the beach. Note that only 8 of those have king beds- generally these are larger rooms and are in the center of each building. From there decide if you want to be at the far quiet end of the resort or closer to the pool and restaurants, and do you want to be on the ground floor for convenience or upper floor for a view where you don't have to look through the beach beds and a nice balcony that doesn't have foot traffic going through it all the time.
Of course once you have determined what is the "best" OV room for you...............be aware that you can make a request but you should request one of 3 or 4 options. They try but often there are others requesting the most popular rooms and a lot depends on what day you happen to arrive/when the current occupant of a particular room happens to be leaving.
