I beg to differ that a couple of days is too short to get into the "experience." It all depends on your personality. When we went our first time to Desire my hubby was in the 'experience" the minute we checked -in. Remember everyone has a different reason for going to Desire so what is one person "experience" at Desire is not what another person wants or desires. But, in my opinion 2-3 days is enough.

We were in a similar position this past November. We had a free timeshare week to use (no cost at all to us), so I guided the conversation to Cancun. Then convinced the wife to stay (and pay for) 2 nights at Desire. Over the next few months I upped it to 4 nights at Desire, figuring that it would take the wife longer than 2 nights to "settle in". (Which, incidentally, was correct). Neither of us wanted to check out, and while the "vanilla" resort was very nice, we would have preferred to stay at Desire, and just left the other place vacant. It's THAT great a place! Good luck, and enjoy!
