Preface:
My husband(37) and I(35) had been discussing the option of exploring and having new experiences with other people for a few years, but I never felt it was the right time. We are not in the lifestyle, but tip-toeing nearby, peeking in. Even though we enjoyed frequent sex with one another, we both saw this as an opportunity for him to experience being with other women. I would be his cheerleader, willing to participate in any way that felt right. He had not been with any other partner but me and we’ve been married for 13 years. I had partners before him, so I never felt like I was missing out on anything necessarily. About 9 months ago, I began researching all of the resorts around the world and settled on going to Mexico, since it was relatively close to where we lived and an easy flight to get to. We watched Youtube videos of couples giving their reviews of RM and Pearl and giving tips for first timers. We finally pulled the trigger on new years and booked our trip to RM for the week of July 4th.
We found this forum and read through dozens of new and old posts, continued watching Youtube review videos, and occasionally checked out Reddit, although it wasn’t really helpful. I began planning our dinner outfits and theme night attire, which was incredibly fun! Amazon was an easy place to order everything we needed and I enjoyed modeling everything for him as it came in the mail. Throughout the weeks we felt our excitement grow and grow and continued discussing the trip, our desires, any hesitations, our boundaries and all the things.

Day 1
Check-In @ 12pm
We arrived before our room was ready which was definitely the best call! They stored our luggage in a side room as we officially checked in and received our orange wristbands. I was anticipating receiving yellow wristbands for first timers, but we happened to join the Stay and Play club for a discount when booking, which meant we received the orange bands. This proved to spark conversation throughout our stay as many people did not know what the orange bands meant and thought we had visited before.
Roberto was our concierge and incredibly helpful as he gave us his number for WhatsApp, the map and agenda for the week, walked us through the layout of the property, explained how to get reservations for dinner, shared when the party “really” gets going at night, and then walked us around a bit to drop us off for a lunch buffet. (Lunch Buffet @ Tentazione = 9/10) We immediately felt comfortable as we saw some guests in bathing suits, some in casual clothes, and some partially or fully nude. Everyone seemed to be relaxed and enjoying life.
It was around 1pm when we were on our own at lunch, enjoying the view of the water and talking about how incredible it was to finally arrive. A very nice couple stopped at our table, they welcomed us, told us to relax, not to feel pressured, etc.. It was nice to hear that right away from other people. Within minutes, we met another couple and they said similar things, wished us a happy trip and said they’d see us that night for the party. It was nice to already know 2 couples and we hadn’t even finished our lunch yet!
We decided to walk around a bit then grabbed a change of clothes from the lobby area where our bags had been stored. We met another couple in the bathroom and they were super nice! Additionally, Roberto was in the lobby and checked to make sure we were okay at that time. We stopped by Eros to see about dinner reservations, but there were none available as they were booked up. (All reservations are booked at Eros between 12-3pm. We were told by other guests to just show up at any of the restaurants for dinner and ask if a table was available, but we never did that.)
We decided it was time to go down to the beach and get in the water. This was the first time in my entire life I took my swim top off and walked around in front of others. It was liberating! We grabbed a drink at the Tiki Bar, then got back in the water for a while. Soon after, our room was ready and we headed that direction.
Our room was 1008 and right by the quiet pool. There were no complaints about the room, however, there were a few times when my wristband did not work properly for unlocking the door so I had to rely on my husband to use his.
We freshened up in the room then decided it was time to go out and mingle. My husband is way more social than I am, so he typically initiated the conversations and I could tell he was ready to start making “connections”! At one point I told him to tone it down as I didn’t want to seem too eager and reminded him of the advice the first couple gave us at lunch.. To take things slow. He scaled it back a bit but we still continued talking and meeting everyone. We very soon wound up at the jacuzzi and I decided right then that I would finally bare it all and get over that “hump” of hesitation. It was so much more liberating walking into the jacuzzi completely naked with my husband than I thought it would be and I felt immediately at ease.
We met a few more couples in the jacuzzi and then eventually sat for a while with one of the couples from lunch. They were so kind, gave great advice, and were just really fun to hang around without any judgement. It soon became time to prepare for dinner. We did not have a reservation but wound up going to Eros at around 5:15pm since their “lunch” hours do not end until 6pm. (Early dinner @ Eros = 5/10 - the fries were good but the hamburgers were not. My husband only had 2 bites of his and I had about 5 bites before we gave up and said we’d go to the buffet later on. The service was incredibly slow.)
We had a few hours to kill so we went back to the beach and ran into a couple from lunch again and chit chatted with them for a bit. Then we hung out in a beach cabana discussing all that we had seen so far. Around 8pm we swung by the dinner buffet and had a few more bites to each since Eros was lacking quite a bit from earlier. (Second, later dinner @ Tentazione = 9/10)
Then, it was time to prepare for the theme night party “What’s Your Emergency.” This was super fun as I had a sexy firefighter costume that showed off my curves and my husband had a sexy fireman costume to match. We arrived at the Melange Bar around 9:30pm and the party was already going. There was live music, good vibes, and lots of people we had met earlier in the day. One of the couples we had met at lunch and at the beach throughout the day was at the bar. We gravitated to them since we felt like we “knew” them at that point and just kind of hung with them for a bit. The husband was talking to my husband and pointed out a couple that was closer to our age that he had seen around a few times before. So, my husband walked over and introduced us and we soon found that we had a lot of things in common, except they had been to RM several times before. We made our way to a table and talked throughout the party. We shared about this being our first time… and our very first day experiencing anything like this.
This new couple expressed that they only had two more nights at the resort and were looking to make some connections before they left. The other husband was a little more handsy than I expected right off the bat, but he sensed my hesitation and toned it down. For the remainder of this story, I will refer to him as Rough and Rowdy and his wife as Tall Hot Mama. Over the next hour we enjoyed the live music and the show put on by the playmakers and getting to know each other. I expressed to Rough and Rowdy how I am interested in exploring the playroom at some point. He shared that he and Tall Hot Mama had tried it before but it wasn’t the best experience so he wasn’t sure if that would be something they would do. I totally understood and we moved on from that topic. We were introduced to several other couples but continued a long conversation with Rough and Rowdy and Tall Hot Mama for a while.
A little after 10:30pm we made our way up to the disco and danced with each other. We would dance with our own spouses, then swap, and soon Rough and Rowdy had his tongue down my throat. While that was NOT shocking (like I said, I did a LOT of research before booking this trip), it was shocking to me at how fast things were moving. We had just arrived less than 12 hours before and I was already dancing provocatively and kissing another man. My husband was doing the same thing with Tall Hot Mama as well and seemed to really by having a great time! My husband and I took a short break to the restroom to regroup and he assured me that we didn’t have to do anything more if I wasn’t willing. We mutually decided to keep going and wound up back on the dance floor with this couple. We moved to the bar area outside to have a deeper discussion about sexual history, fantasies, boundaries, etc. We agreed to a full swap and they invited us back to their place and away we went.
We had an amazing time with them in their room and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Seeing my husband have a new experience was thrilling, but I thoroughly enjoyed it on my end as well. All four of us voiced what we wanted, how we wanted it, etc. There was nothing strange about it once it all began. They shared that they wanted to play again the next night if we were down for it since it would be their last night before heading home. We said we felt good about it all but would definitely speak to them in the morning or around lunch time just to check back in. A little after 1am we headed back to our room and while my husband passed out, I stayed up thinking about every moment of the day and how we wound up here, eventually falling asleep after being up for 22 hours straight.
Day 2
7:30am - We woke up earlier than normal realizing how hungry we were and prepared for the day. We went to the breakfast buffet and enjoyed a delightful selection of tasty food. (Buffet @ Arrecife = 10/10) We sat next to a couple we had not met yet and shared a bit about ourselves for a while. We also ran into a few couples from our first day and traded quick pleasantries.
After breakfast, we headed to the ocean and hopped in nude. We hung out in the cabanas for a little while and checked our phones and things. Right at noon we secured a dinner reservation at Kahlo. We then headed to the lunch buffet and enjoyed meeting a few more couples over some good food.
At random times, Roberto continued to check on us either in person or through WhatsApp and answered any questions we may have had. Also, our room was cleaned incredibly well by Aurora throughout the week. After lunch, I wanted to lay out on the beach in the sun for a short time and my husband took a nap in the cabana. There were occasionally a few people from the neighboring resort who would venture over and make a comment about some of us ladies being nude and whatnot, but security was always on patrol and the visitors never did anything disrespectful. Since it is a public beach, I was prepared for there to be others seeing me nude.
My husband and I grabbed some water and saw Rough and Rowdy from our late night escapade relaxing in a cabana by the quiet pool. We said hello, then my husband went back to our room to sleep. (Like I mentioned… we had been up for 22 hours straight that first day.) I’m not great at napping in the middle of the day so I stayed near the quiet pool and asked Rough and Rowdy where Tall Hot Mama was and she too was taking a nap. I sat in the neighboring cabana and we chatted about the experience from the night before. He checked to make sure I was ok, knowing that I had originally been a little more hesitant with all of this. I shared about the progression of the night and how I was shocked at how fast things went, but that I was happy it happened the way it did. He seemed very genuine, as did Tall Hot Mama, and my husband and I had a really great first experience because of them. He asked me if there was anything different I would want to try, and I reminded him that I am interested in the playroom, but completely fine with them not wanting to do that… I can always do that with my husband. He said he would talk to Tall Hot Mama about it again and see what happens. We made a plan to all meet up again that night at the party.
About 2:50pm I woke my husband up for the Unicorn Foam Party. This took place in the party pool and while we had fun seeing some of the people we had met previously, the “pool party” was extremely lacking. There was no foam, just a small bubble blaster, and a little bit of dancing by the playmakers. The vibe was pretty low and most people just chatted with others instead of interacting with the playmakers. We were pretty disappointed in this “party.”
After a short time, we made our way up to the jacuzzi and quickly found Rough and Rowdy and Tall Hot Mama. We cozied up with them and met a few more couples as we hung out. A younger couple whom we had met at the quiet pool around lunch time came over and asked how our night went. My husband and I shared a look, then looked at this new couple we were cozied up with and said.. “It was fantastic!” They quickly understood and began asking some questions. They had only visited one time before but they had not played with any other couples yet so they seemed pretty interested in our escapades. From now on I will refer to this new couple as Party Animal and Stunning Teacher.
It was approaching time to prepare for dinner, so we headed back to our room to shower and get dressed for our 7pm reservation at Kahlo, which we had heard so many good things about. We enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food. Everything we had was delicious albeit tiny portions. We had a great conversation with a couple sitting next to us who we would say hello to many times over the next few days. (Dinner @ Kahlo = 10/10)
It was now time to prepare for the theme party “Naughty Neon.” We had fun with our outfits and I dressed in something that showed off my curves. We headed to Melange Bar where there was a DJ playing mediocre music but the vibe was still positive. We said hello to many couples we had already met and eventually ran into Rough and Rowdy and Tall Hot Mama. We hung out with them for quite a bit while enjoying the show. Once again, I cozied up to Rough and Rowdy while my husband cozied up to Tall Hot Mama. We had great conversation, flirting, kissing, and enjoying the atmosphere of the party. My husband and Tall Hot Mama had an in depth conversation about all of her desires and fantasies, as my husband wanted to please her well the last night she was there. Rough and Rowdy shared with me that they did in fact want to try out the playroom with us that night just to see how it went, with the backup plan of heading to our room just in case. I was nervous about what might take place there but excited it would be with this couple.
We all headed upstairs to the disco, danced for a while, then decided it was time to experience the playroom. Upon entering, 4 of the 6 beds were already taken. We headed to a bed in the far corner that was open, threw some towels down, and immediately began. There were so many people that came through, some asking permission to watch and lingered longer, some passing by after a few seconds without saying anything. The atmosphere was hot and sexy and I absolutely felt free and exhilarated. After we finished up, we cleaned up a bit in the adjoining restroom and headed back out through the dance floor. Several couples turned to look at all 4 of us as we strutted out like we had just conquered the world. I know that sounds corny but that’s kind of how we felt.
We hung out with each other outside by the jacuzzi for a brief time, grabbed some more to drink, then decided it was time for round two in my husband and I’s room. We walked with each other’s spouses along the way. As I was hanging onto Rough and Rowdy I described how excited I was that my husband and Tall Hot Mama were able to live out their fantasies. I shared that I didn’t really have any fantasies, but that the full swapping we just experienced in the playroom with over a dozen people watching throughout had just fulfilled the fantasy I never knew I had. We continued to our room for round 2 and it got even hotter and steamier as we had quite the time together. My husband had pizza and I had chicken tacos, which hit the spot after such a busy day. (Late night snack @ Melange Bar = 9/10) Eventually, we headed back to our room and my husband and I cuddled up to talk about the evening and drifted off to sleep at nearly 2am.
Day 3
7:30am - Once again we awoke starving and a bit delirious from the second night of escapades. We had the Arrecife breakfast buffet and by now seemed to have a good rhythm. We would stop by the tables of new friends we had been chatting with over the last couple of days, ask how things were going, etc. This was the morning we had our membership meeting, so we just relaxed on the beach for a while and walked around until it was time. At 10am, we had our membership meeting, and thanks to Roberto, were able to cut it off quickly after the hour mark. You “have” to stay for the full hour in order to receive whatever free service they had offered. The guy who was trying to sell us the membership was fairly nice but became visibly frustrated when we continued to tell him we were not interested and his 60 minutes were up. We did get 2 hot stone massages in the spa, which Roberto had booked for us ahead of time.
We had a short time before we needed to be at the spa, so we ran through the buffet at Tentazione for a quick lunch, then back to the spa for our 12pm appointment. The hot stone massage was absolutely fantastic. Carolina and Ellie were super great and the whole experience was totally worth the hassle of the presentation we had to sit through. After leaving the massage room, my husband and I spent some time in the sauna, then the cold room, and took a shower together. All the while, Jesus the spa attendant would check on us, get us water or champagne, and made sure we had towels for the shower. The only complaint I have about the spa experience is the robe that I had. My robe was rough and scruffy - basically the Home Depot version of a man’s robe. While my husband's robe was soft and gentle and cozy against the skin. When we stepped out of the shower I took my husband’s robe and Jesus made a quick comment about us switching robes. I explained my concern and he laughed it off a bit as we went to change. Overall the spa experience was a 9/10.
After the spa, we stopped by Eros to make dinner reservations for Sahlo and then swung by the gift shop inside the main lobby. We went to just check things out and see what items were carried. Everything was overpriced and we didn’t wind up getting anything, but we did meet another couple while we were in there and chatted with them for a bit. Eventually, we made our way down to the beach cabanas and rested for a while. I took a short nap and my husband relaxed while checking email and things. It was very peaceful and I needed some down time with such late nights we had just experienced.
By 6pm we were back in the room relaxing and talking about the experience so far. We were ready for dinner at Sahlo quite a bit early so we decided to walk around the resort for a while and ran into Party Animal and Stunning Teacher, whom we had seen a few times throughout the week. They flirted a bit and seemed more and more interested in us. We shared a little bit about our second night with Rough and Rowdy and Tall Hot Mama and suggested that tonight we all spend some time together. They seemed open to that idea and let us know they were on their way to dinner at Sahlo. We said we would be heading there soon as well!
We arrived at Sahlo about 20 minutes early, mainly because Party Animal and Stunning Teacher’s reservation was 30 minutes prior to ours. We didn’t want to miss out on a chance to possibly sit next to them! The hostess allowed us in early… but sat us in the farthest most closed off table in the entire area. We couldn’t even see Party Animal and Stunning Teacher from where we sat and felt a little defeated for a moment. Then, my husband sent me in to seal the deal. After placing our order, I walked back to the front of the restaurant where we saw this couple sitting and sat down right next to Stunning Teacher. We made quick small talk, flirted some more, then dove right into what we were all hoping to experience. I spent about 15 minutes at their table and once their food arrived, I told them we would catch up with them at the party. I felt good about making this connection! Dinner at Sahlo was pretty good, however, the service was incredibly slow and similar to Kahlo, the portions were tiny. We decided to skip out on dessert because it was going to take us some time to prepare for the party and it was already approaching 9pm. (Dinner @ Sahlo = 9/10)
We headed back to our room and prepared for the party, it was “Animal Instincts” night. I wore the most revealing outfit of the week, which was a thin leopard print lingerie piece with sexy fishnet stockings. My assets were on display and many of the other guests had such complementary and sexy things to say towards me, which made me feel amazing! My husband had a fun leopard print shirt to match and was full of energy to get the night going. We met up with Party Animal and Stunning Teacher who were with another couple. All six of us hung out together, had drinks, watched the show, and continued to be flirtatious. This new couple, who will be called Compersion King and Feisty Kitten, were a bit older than the rest of us, but Feisty Kitten was full of life! She was ready and willing to participate in the night's escapades, while Compersion King was ready to sit back, relax, and enjoy his wife giving and receiving from others. Compersion King and Feisty Kitten were going to head back to their room to fill up their hot tub and would invite us back a little later. So, Party Animal, Stunning Teacher, and my husband and I continued our evening at the Melange Bar, then decided to go check out the playroom. They had never played with another couple before and had also never been in the playroom. When we entered, it was empty and that threw them off a bit. We suggested going back to one of our rooms if that would make them more comfortable, which it did. So, away we went to Party Animal and Stunning Teacher’s room.
Party Animal was ready to go immediately upon entering, so he and I began quickly. My husband and Stunning Teacher spent a little more time engaging in foreplay before jumping in completely. We had a great time in their room and soon enough received word from Feisty Kitten that her hot tub was ready for us. We left all of our things on the floor and hurried out of the room to make our trek to the new room. On the way, my husband and I decided to swing by our room real quick as I wanted to put my collar and nipple clamps on…I was completely nude so I might as well put something on! We quickly made our way back out and to this new room. Upon arrival, Feisty Kitten, Stunning Teacher, and Party Animal were in full swing as Compersion King watched nearby. My husband and I began to engage with each other and soon various swapping occurred. As we began to settle down, we relaxed in the hot tub with some champagne. Soon, it was time for my husband and I to retrieve our belongings from Party Animal and Stunning Teacher’s room so we headed back there for a quick goodbye. As we made our way back to our room we passed by several couples along the way and simply enjoyed the feeling of being free. Once again, it was close to 2am when we finally went to sleep.
Day 4
8am - We awoke and prepared for our new morning routine. Going to the breakfast buffet, saying hello to new couples we had met throughout the week, etc. This would be our last full day at RM and we wanted to make the most of the experience. We decided to spend some time down on the beach together. We found that the water was nice in the mornings, whereas in the afternoon it was pretty warm. So we relaxed in the water, laid out in the cabana, and chatted with another couple nearby for some time. I wanted to do something new, so we decided to go out on the paddle boards. While there weren’t very many guests using the water sports rentals, we did see a couple every now and then using them. It was an easy process to check the paddleboards out and we had some fun out on the water for a while.
Soon after, we headed to lunch at Eros, and while we were there we made a dinner reservation for Suki. For the 4th of July, Eros provided a lunch buffet with BBQ and lots of sweet treats. We arrived before the BBQ was ready but were able to fill up on the rest of the items they had prepared. (Lunch buffet @ Eros = 8/10) We decided to head over to the party pool and stick around for the 4th of July Foam party that would start a little while later. All of the cabanas and beds had been taken first thing in the morning, which was the first time that had happened all week. It seemed everyone had been preparing for this party all day. We ran into a more experienced couple whom we had met a few times prior. They invited us to sit with them, which we did for about 45 minutes. They asked how things were going, and we shared about our escapades with Rough and Rowdy and Tall Hot Mama, Party Animal and Stunning Teacher, and Compersion King and Feisty Kitten. They shared some important lessons that they had learned along the way and gave us advice on keeping our own relationship strong and secure as we experience being with others.
Then, we headed into the pool for the foam party. There were lots of American themed decorations around the pool, fun music, and a lively crowd. The DJ was on a raised stage of sorts in the air and dressed as Uncle Sam, the playmakers brought sexy dancing and energy, and the foam machines were pumping out a ton of foam. A few times, the playmakers came out onto the water in a small boat and passed out shots to everyone in the pool. They really brought a good time and this experience was a complete 180 from the previous pool party on Day 2. My husband and I danced in the water, participated in a conga line, and hung out with various couples we had met throughout the week. We had briefly been introduced to a couple the night before and decided to get to know them a bit better while in the pool. We will call them American Boy and Sexy Squirter.
We spent over 2 hours in the party pool, much of which was spent cozied up to this new couple we seemed to be connecting with. This was the only day I drank a little too much, so eventually my husband and I decided it was time to head back to our room, shower, and prepare for dinner later that evening, with the understanding that we would meet American Boy and Sexy Squirter at the party. We cleaned up, rested a bit, then headed toward dinner around 7:30pm. We had reserved seats for the hibachi grill and after a while another couple, whom we had met in the pool, wound up being seated next to us. We all enjoyed the presentation, the chef was funny and cooked everything very nicely. This was probably the most delicious and most filling of all the dinners we had through the week. After eating, we rested a little longer in the room before dressing up for the 4th of July theme night party. This was a fun night to dress up for and we could hardly wait to meet up with our new friends, American Boy and Sexy Squirter. As we arrived at the party, we said hello to other couples and soon found the couple we had been preparing to meet up with. We immediately became cozy with each other and had a few drinks while the music and entertainment began. Additionally, there were some fireworks that seemed a surprise to most of the guests! This night, the playmakers' show was done extremely well and kept our attention. It was sexy, provocative, and added to the overall vibe of the party. My husband and Sexy Squirter got close during this time, as did American Boy and I. You could tell the tension was rising and we were all anticipating the fun the night would soon bring us.
As people began moving upstairs to the disco, we offered to go up and dance with the possibility of checking out the playroom. They were excited to go dance but had not actually played in the playroom before so that would be a bit of new territory for them. My husband and I spent time dancing with, kissing, and touching American Boy and Sexy Squirter as well as checking in with each other throughout the night. We eventually moved to the playroom which was already pretty busy when we arrived. There were 2 beds open, so we grabbed some towels and claimed one of the beds right away. We undressed and began a full swap without any hesitation. The atmosphere was erotic, hot, and steamy. We enjoyed each other in the playroom and once we finished up, made a quick stop in the adjoining bathroom. We decided to head back out to the disco and sat at a table for a while. They had a lovely balcony room with a hot tub and a view of the water. We relaxed for a bit on the balcony just talking and taking in the night before American Boy and I decided it was time to start round 2. Pretty soon, my husband and Sexy Squirter made their way back in the room and we all enjoyed a good time together. After American Boy and I were done, we hopped in the hot tub, then my husband and Sexy Squirter went back out on the balcony to finish up. Eventually, we all wound up back on the balcony, talking about life, family, and various experiences. It was apparent that this couple was more into bonding and building connections with others, and that seemed fitting for our last night. We exchanged information and went back to our room for the last time.
Day 5
7:30am - Our last time waking up at RM was a bit rough, mainly because of the lack of sleep we had had over the last few nights. However, we made sure all of our things were packed before taking one last trip to the breakfast buffet. It was sparsely attended as it was still fairly early and it seemed most people had a really late night after the party. Each time we sat down to eat, my husband and I would have an open discussion of what was on our minds, share things that surprised us, things we enjoyed, etc. It was always a great time to reconnect with one another. Pretty soon, our bags were picked up, we said goodbye to Roberto, we got checked out, and our transportation arrived. Goodbye RM. Until next time!
