First Time, First Day Report for a religious (LDS) couple

We joked and talked for months about going to Desire RM..... until it started to no longer become and joke and we got more and more courage to consider it.... until we started to talk about actually planning around it... until we booked our flight and then did all of the prep work to make sure we made the most of our trip. We were so glad we went. And glad for this forum along with reddit. Made things easier and made it so we didn't feel like we had any real surprises. So thank you all for contributing here.

We are both active in our church and believe our marriage is the most important thing in our lives. And so it's an interesting dynamic to go to a place where it's so welcome and encouraged to have sex with people other than your spouse. But also a place where people choose their desires, and are supported in sticking to their standards of integrity. It was so amazing to meet such great people at the resort, that although we had such different backgrounds, and even beliefs about our day to day lives, that we had such a deep mutual respect and love for them. We hoped for the type of experience we had. But being an LDS couple (Mormon) and going to a resort like this, we had some concerns of making sure we would feel comfortable and get the most out of it. We knew we weren't going to drink alcohol, or soft swap or full swap, but yet feel okay about going to Desire RM. We wanted to feel like it was something that would strengthen our marriage of having sex and building intimacy in an open environment. And it definitely did! I have only written about day 1, but can come back and post about the other couple days we spent there as well. Feel free to ask any questions.

Day 1
We arrived on Saturday to Desire at around noon and started the check in process. As expected, everyone is friendly and professional and smiles a lot and makes you feel more comfortable during the check in process. Each person we interacted with asked us if we had ever been to a clothing optional resort or a lifestyle resort before. We had not been to one ever before and one of the staff members asked us directly if we were in the lifestyle or not. (We’re not) She then went through the map with us for all of the breakfast, lunch and dinner places and highlighted the quiet pool area, the “spicy pool” (aka the main pool) and the jacuzzi area and disco and playroom area that are connected, but upstairs from the main lobby area.

We had an ocean view room on the ground floor and it was awesome. Such a simple room, with a small counter in the bathroom being the only downside to it in my opinion. Tile floor. The shower was still big enough for both of us to be in there together and the king size bed and padded headboard were really comfortable. AC control was dialed in how we wanted it. Very happy with the room and probably wouldn’t pay more to upgrade to the new Eden as the view was so appreciated.

We grabbed some lunch at the Eros restaurant it was a lovely way to just take in the place. Changed and went to the pool afterwards. All of the chairs and cabanas are basically spoken for at that point, but the man in charge can give you one that is back by the grill. We just got in the pool area and within 2-3 minutes we had a very cute girl near our age strike up conversation in the most mild, yet flirty way. You could tell she was really smooth with connecting with people. My wife is a super fit, in shape, beautiful face, hair and personality. So she is going to be attractive to everyone, and hit it if off with anyone. These two became friends pretty quickly. We met her husband. The two of them have been mildly in the lifestyle for about 12 years and have kids our same ages. We got to hear about their progression of coming to the resort for the past 7-8 years a couple times a year. I just assumed that they had hooked up with a lot of people, but as conversation went on, we learned that they had only had a “full swap” with one other couple, but they had enjoyed less extensive play at times with others. The nighttime show really was impressive. And then they announced the “disco” club being open for the night. We had two other couples of this group of friends come and tell my wife that if we were ever open to “swinging” or “the lifestyle” to let them know because they would be down! Hahaha. We took it as a total compliment, but also knew we were never going to do that, and we only wanted to be with each other (now and forever!) But we did enjoy the kindness, open minds and people keeping it real and authentic with all of our interactions with people we met there.

We peaked into the playroom earlier in the day as well as during a moment in the middle of the dancing that night. And it really is a sex playroom! I can’t believe a place like this really exists and that you can really enjoy your time with your spouse in such a sexy environment.
