No dinner reservations for non-members

Postby puffer » Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:23 pm

Just wondering what non-member experiences have been regarding no longer being able to make dinner reservations.

Wait times? Inability to get in certain restaurants? How process works?

We were there in Aug as well as non-members. If you go within the first hour that Suki or Pearl are open (6-7) we never had to wait to get in. After around 7-7:30 until about 9pm all the tables are booked by members who can make reservations. Aphrodite didn't require reservations and you could walk in anytime for dinner.

I just wrote about this in a newbie trip report post ... We were just there, first time, had no issues. Yes, during "peak" time, there was a wait, so we just went earlier or later, and not a problem. Even then one time we went at "peak" time to Suki, they sat at the middle table with 3 other couples, and it was not an issue. Also, we went at peak time to Pearl one night - and it was a 20-minute wait - so we asked to sit outside, where there's a couple tables there, and they said no problem and we ate right away.

Practically it may not be a big problem if you go earlier or later in the evening, but the policy itself that a hotel guest can not make reservation at the hotel restaurant is absurd.

We are non members and were just at Pearl last month. We went to dinner every night at peak times and never waited for a table. I wouldn’t worry about it.

There is always room at one of the restaurants to eat at any meal time. There may not be a specific time at a specific place, but that can be overcome with some planning.
