Transferring from pearl to rm

...is this possible? I don't think we will or would, but being our first trip like this we want it to be great and it seems like since we're going at a time without a large group there, the odds are good that the sexy vibe is going to be low. We didn't know if desire would transfer between resorts without issue. I know they will for their Temptation folks, which is possibly part of the problem.

Just as a FYI - the Temptation folks where bumped to Pearl for a couple of nights because Temptation was overbooked, not through their own choice.

As to your question, I guess it might be possible - if there was space available at RM, but I doubt that you would see a refund of any dollar difference for the higher price you paid at Pearl.

Since none of us know the actual details, I'll speculate that if it was at their request - Original Resorts is not out to lose out on available cash flow.......

They wouldn't really be losing money if they overbooked one resort then moved some of the overbooked into empty rooms at another. They might be filling the room at a decreased profit from a booking guest but the room would have been empty. It's the same concept as an airline overbooking a flight and a passenger asking to be bumped to free up seats in coach. I've seen this happen without an up charge. I'm not sure in this day and age of instant information exchange how something can be overbooked on accident...especially if it's done routinely.

I don't have many complaints about Desire........however, in 6 trips over the last 3 years, 4 have included major influx of patrons from Temptation for over booking!!! At $500-$670 a night that my wife and I have paid........it doesn't seem right that on a whim they can send Temptation folk over, because they continue to "over book" that resort!
Worst part is........that many of the ones transferred, don't know the price difference, and don't get how lucky they are to have ended up at Desire!
Drives me crazy!!!
