Which Desire and what time of year to go??

We're a Canadian cpl in our mid and late 30's, wanting to plan our first visit to Desire in late 2013 or in 2014. We've been to Hedo and dabble in the lifestyle just a little bit. We're very restricted on when we can go due to children and school. We want to go at a time when the resort will be lots of fun and lots of people close to our own age. From reading other posts it sounds like we should plan to go during a takeover week? What groups should we consider and what months are best? Dec and Jan may be good for us but sounds like things may be dead at that time? Also, does it matter what Desire we go to for age and time of year? We're liking what we see of Pearl. Appreciate any advice from Desire veterans! Thanks so much!!!

Our trips to Mexico for several years and most recently to Desire have all been in the early part of June. The weather each time has been great and often, rates come down a little bit after the beginning of June. We are headed back to Pearl on June 6-12th and on the 8th, there is a group arriving. If you can move your time table up a bit, we would love to have you join the fun. Desire is amazing!
