Penthouse Party

We are going to desire Pearl in November, and we have a penthouse passion suite. We Have Heard of others who have passion Suites hosting a party and inviting the other Resort guests to the room for an evening party. I think we would like to do this, but we are looking for information from others who have participated or done this type of thing? When is usually the best time to start a party like this? Obviously we don't want to interfere with dinner or the evening entertainment and theme parties. So we're trying to decide the best time frame. Would we have to pay for alcohol to be delivered to our room for all of the guests? Or does the all inclusive aspect cover alcohol? We will have a butler who can make any necessary arrangements. What about hors d'oeuvres? Any insight from anyone who has experience would be helpful.

We have been invited. At one nothing was served, music was played and people mingled. Someone jumped in the hot tub up there. Nice chill evening but nothing happened. One person was a DJ by trade and played music. At another one we went to, it ended up being 3 couples and people got to know each other a little better. Don’t remember having anything consumed there either. Both occurred after the evening show/entertainment. I think it is nice of you to offer guests something to drink. It could make for a better party for some. I wouldn’t expect snacks but when serving alcohol it may not be a bad idea. Maybe the late night pizza?

We have been to one years before, and it was great. We often hold parties in our room (master suite) and because we are members, we have it catered both food and booze at no expense. They just bring both the food and alcohol that is already being supplied in the bars etc. If we require extra things like better cheese etc we pop into town and go to the super market in PM. We then hold the party after the pool and before dinner. If you want better food, give the kitchen (through your butler) a few days notice and they can both order and price out your requests. They have been great to work with. If you do want to go through the entire evening, pick a theme and is kinda lame, and then skip the show and lobby bar and have your own "theme" party if you desire it. Remember, the place is called Desire for a reason.

Excellent idea! We have been invited to two room parties, both started right after the nightly entertainment. I don’t recall food at either one. We took bottles and mixes to both and the room had drinks delivered by the resort. Unsure of cost. Parties lasted a few hours. At one party groups migrated to get pizza together and at the other party people ordered room service. Wish we were going in Nov. Room parties are a blast! Have fun!
