I have done a decent amount of research but I am going to ask to get direct and recent feedback. We are planning a trip for April 2026 to DRM and are very much newbies. Not in LS but are curious and enjoy the fantasy of the resort. I am hoping I can get some information from recent travelers.
1. Comparing DRM to Pearl - we are both 40 and prefer an age demographic around or lower than ours. We like the nightclub aspect but won’t stay out until 4am (maybe 12p-2p). We are interested in the possibility of seeing what happens with another couple but don want to be let out with a highly experienced crowd. We prefer the nicer rooms but cannot afford the Eden. We want to meet people but don’t want to feel overly crowded that moving around the day is not enjoyable. Any recommendations or opinions is appreciated.
2. Is there a lot of nudity at the pool/beach during the day? Based on other review sites I was under the impression it was about 80% both M and F fully nude. Is this accurate or is it less? Does Pearl offer more nudity?
3. Our plans allow us to book Wed-Sat or Thurs-Sun (for $700) more. Is experiencing a Saturday worth the extra for newbies?

1. If you want the night club experience, the disco is open all night and is usually busy until around 2 or 3. Age demographics vary week to week, don’t give it a single thought. There will always be folks in your age range to socialize with.
2. At DRM there are actually 2 pools. The main pool is lively with some, but not much nudity. The original pool is quieter and is much more nude. Take you pick, both are fun. Since there is only one pool at Pearl; you’ll see more nudity there.
3. Probably not.
As Nokidclub said, don’t worry be happy; you’ll have a great time.

We started at Pearl, moved to RM about 10 years ago. Both were pretty nude everywhere, but RM was livelier with a lot more PDS. But it faded after Covid and steadily became more ‘Temptation like’. Low nudity. We migrated back to Pearl over past 2 years and found it had retained much of original sexy vibe and high nudity levels.
We are going to try RM again, to see if the Eden has changed it, but frankly I think that currently Pearl may be a better bet for you.

1. We just got back from 5 nights at RM - after 3 previous trips to Pearl. The disco was definitely much livelier for longer at RM - but I wouldn't say it was lively past 2. No way. In fact, it usually started dying down each night at 1 a.m. Plenty of fun from 11 to 1. After that, some were still dancing, but most were in the playroom or hot tub at that point. Both resorts have something for everyone and I wouldn't sweat it.
2. Who knows. Everyone has a different opinion. I think it just depends on who's there. There's also various forms of nudity - tops/bottoms/etc... So it varies - but there's plenty of nudity if you want that. There's plenty people not nude if you are more comfortable with that. To each their own. No one cares either way.
3. Not necessarily. I do think it's better on weekends in general, just because everyone has settled in by then. Our first trip was Sunday-Friday, and that wasn't the best.

We visited RM las summer for the first time. We are mid 30s, brand new to this type of experience, and had such a fantastic time. I cannot comment on Pearl since we have never been there.
1. Keep an open mind. You will likely find people in your age range. I had done a ton of research beforehand, and most forums and YouTube review pages all stated that both resorts catered to 40s/50s+. However, we met a newlywed couple in their 20s and played with 3 other couples all in their 30s within the first couple of nights. People gravitate to each other just like anywhere else. We never felt pressured and a few of the couples we interacted were new to these experiences as well. You will find some highly experienced and some brand new, with most landing somewhere in the middle. We enjoyed the nightclub and used the playroom a couple of times. We often didn't stay out past 1-2am, but it definitely dies down some after midnight. We stayed in one of the rooms right next to the quiet pool. We actually really liked it. It was nice and very clean (even though a little older). We had many of the food options just steps away from our door. I can understand the appeal of the Eden though.
2. The week we were there, nudity was probably 50-60%? I didn't pay that much attention, but it was enough to make me comfortable enough to shed my own clothes for the first time in public. Be comfortable in whatever form you prefer.
3. We stayed through a Sat morning. This summer we are staying through Sunday. From what the staff told us, more people tend to arrive on Tues/Wed and stay through the weekend. I did see an increase in the number of couples as the week went on. So if that's accurate, you can decide if you'd rather be around more or less people. The Friday night party was great for us, everyone was having a blast!

I think 50 -60% nudity at an ostensibly nude resort is pretty pathetic. That means a lot of men wandering about all day in shorts - exactly what made my wife so uncomfortable before that she refused to go back. It’s sad to hear it has not improved, and I fear my wife will be far from happy. Maybe I need to look into changing my booking to Pearl which seems to have stayed truer to the accepted meaning of ‘clothes optional’.
Most people into nudity see clothing optional as a way for people new to public nudity to ease their way in at their own pace. It’s never meant as a way for large numbers of dressed men to freely mix all week among naked middle aged women. Nobody cares too much about women being topless with a micro bottom, but large numbers of men in cargo shorts all day. That’s not comfortable. The statement on one of the earlier posts that nobody cares is just not correct.
Ten years ago seeing a man wearing anything around the pool or beach at RM or a woman wearing more than a micro bottom was a relative rarity.
How has it changed so much at RM?
