We are posting this for any other newbie couples who like us were hesitant to go to Desire RM. We had a great time and are already trying to figure out when we can head back.
We stayed for 6 nights and had a blast. We are 30 years old and don't drink but we managed to meet a lot of people and have a lot of fun.
The Playmakers made everything fun at the pool. Water volleyball was a great way to meet people and extremely fun!
The beach had a bit of seaweed but they cleared most of it out everyday. Otherwise it was beautiful.
The food was good and we had no issues with the hotel whatsoever. Everyone who worked there was very accommodating.
It was a bit hot outside during the theme nights but it made it easy to move everyone upstairs to the disco into the air conditioning after the shows were over.
The jacuzzi was awesome although the massive amount of chlorine in it aggravated our skin a bit, the final few nights we just dipped our feet in while chatting with other guests.
USA Transfers was wonderful, we had ZERO issues with them and even booked 2 excursions through their sister company Entertainment Plus. Highly recommended!

Advice for other newbies is to just pull the trigger and go! Participate in the games and theme nights to make the most of your trip.

Agree, we were there the same six nights, it was our first trip and it won't be our last. The staff, the atmosphere, the bands, disco, the folks were all outstanding. If any newbies are on the fence, don't be, you will have the time of your life and you are not pressured to do anything at all. You won't regret it.
