The new Sahlo restaurant was fine, think we preferred the original restaurant though as it was a little more intimate. We only ate in the buffet for one night and spent the rest of our evenings in either of the other 2 restaurants. We never bothered to make reservations as we don't like to be tied down to a specific time - it can hard to drag yourself away from the hot tub in the afternoon! Although we were told several times there would be up to an hours wait, he longest we had to wait was 20 minutes, so no issues there at all. The food was was as good as our previous trips.
The staff are all as great as before with particular mentions for CC, Africa, Carlos, Edmundo and Abraham.
As a point of interest Vanessa left during our trip, which was even a surprise to the other members of staff, we'll miss her.
We had several days of rain and umbrellas became the most sought after item, we advise popping a small one in your case.
We asked about the pool renovations and were told that the swim up bar will be located in the current shallow end (near the restaurant). We were also told that the pool would be extended towards to towel building. We are actually returning during the renovation work so will provide an update in September.
Not only did we meet our a bunch of our old friends, we also made several more, at this rate we may have to organize a group takeover!
