Does using express check-in really make much of a difference upon arrival? And, should we make our room requests while doing express check-in?

We've always found Desire check in to be pretty quick anyway, but yes
the advance express checkin does save you 5 or 10 minutes- so
why not ?
And yes you can make you room requests at that time- just be sure to do the advance checkin a full two weeks ahead of arrival. They work on assigning the rooms in that 1 to 2 week window before the week of your stay.

Thanks Mike....guess we're a wee bit late, 10 days away, but we'll give it a shot anyway....

...but what happens if you do early check-in and for some reason you do not arrive when expected (ex - airline delays, weather, emergency) won't that just screw with your chance of changing your reservation? OY, I hope I just didn't curse myself.

We used the express check-in for our visit this past July and it seemed to work fine. I'm not sure it saved much time but we did get the room that we requested.

rick&dee...Desire is usually booked 100% so I doubt that a last minute change would work whether or not express check-in was used.

Well I was just wondering because last time we were there, a couple over slept, MISSED THEIR PLANE, and came a day later, and then arranged to leave a day later. Still trying to figure out how you over sleep when you know that, within hours, you will be AT DESIRE!

The only way one can oversleep prior to a trip at desire is if it is your first trip and you don't know what to look forward to......jacuzzi, claudia, beach, pool, playroom.......
