Erotic Photo Shoots available?

I have seen here and there passing comments about an erotic photo session being available for us at the resort. My wife and I will be making our 3rd trip next week at RM for 5 days and then at Pearl for 2 days.and have never heard wind of this before. We would love to book one if it is available. Is it something offered by and booked through the resort, or what? Any info from those who know would be appreciated. You are welcome to answer this post or PM me.

We were in DRM in October 2012 and had photosession.
It's available for book on the left side of reception, two times per week. But, if you'll want , staff can call them immediately.
Photografer's name is Antonio , he makes excellent photos And makes FullHD video presentation for you. (if you want, I can give to you, in PM, link of our "non erotic" presentation)

What is the agreement with the guy in regards to the pictures he takes? I would love to book a session but we wouldn't be very comfortable knowing that somebody has those pictures. How does he manage that? Or you guys simply don't worry about that?

Photography business is fully based on reputation. It would be a suicide for any professional photographer to misuse your photos.
Well, all that is true, providing the photographer has the reputation.

So if the photographer is making living out of the work at Desire, then you have nothing to worry about.

Also DO NOT sign anything with the photographer that could be construed as a model release, thereby giving him the right to use those photos for any other purpose.

FYI....

Model releases are not really necessary. The photographer who shoots the photo has full rights to the use of that photo. If you want an agreement of copyrights, you must execute a contract prior to hiring a photographer.

However I do agree with a previous post... These photographers have a reputation and their future business depends on how they treat their customers. I have seen photographer's priorities change once they leave that particular business. They may very well use any images as they please.

Bottom line: You'll probably be OK, but there are no guarantees.

I can't say that I'm really that worried about him posting our photos on the internet somewhere. If I was an underwear model or something, I might be... Now I AM supremely buffed, dashingly handsome, and deceivingly witty...but alas, I believe my worries would be in vain. Now my wife on the other hand is a true hottie.

I think we will definitely be fulfilling a little fantasy and partaking in the "highly recommended" photo shoot.

We just got back after a week at Pearl (March 2013), and they have a husband/wife team taking photos there. You don't pay for the shoot, but the photos are $10.00 USD each. It is a one or two hour session and you can take them on the wharf, or in your room for more privacy. Just not around other people for obvious reason. Just ask at the front desk.

I would also be concerned about what happened to the photos down the road. My suggestion would be to ask a fellow guest that you befriend to take the pics with your camera. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be difficult to find someone to do it, and although the photo quality may not be as good, you would have complete control of the pics. I could also be fun for all.

That's a great idea, but a bit tough to get someone who you and your spouse are comfortable with. I'm a photographer myself, and I would love to do that, but I'm not sure if they would feel comfortable with me taking their photos. Sometimes, a complete stranger is easier to disrobe in front of (plus other stuff) than a friend, even a new one. We just booked RM for Dec, so I will be taking some photo stuff down, just in case.
Best suggestion, ask around with ppl you've had dinner etc with, or a couple you find you would like to ask to do that.
It is the safest alternative, I agree.

I agree with westcpl.
I also believe a professional photographer is the best option both form quality and security prospective, regardless whether they are hired at the resort or someone from the guests who does it for you for free.
We've been lucky last year to meet a very talented photographer from Canada who kindly agreed to take few pics of us together.

At the same time I'd like to point out that a lot of people take pictures at the resort without any subjects consent.

We are both photographers and every time we go to Desire we bring our equipment to take few pics of ourselves in the beautiful environment at Desire.
Every time we do a photoshoot we tell people in our proximity about what we are doing and we assure them they will not be in the frame.
Every time there will be 2-3 people with their cameras taking pictures of us without even asking if it is OK.
They probably think if it is OK for one photographer taking pictures of a naked lady, it is OK for everyone else to take pictures too.

Does it bother us?
- Not really.
I'm sure most people at Desire would have decency for not publishing the pics anywhere and only use them for their personal enjoyment
Even if the pics end up on the internet, they will be a drop in the ocean of nude imagery and most likely will go unnoticed.

My point?

If you want to take pictures of your wife at Desire - Go and do it! It is fun!
If you want to hire a photographer to do it - it is event better!
If you found a photographer among the the guests - you are just lucky!

Either way you'll be glad you did it as the time goes by.
