To go or not to go: age and other stuff

We are a Colombian couple and we're in the process of deciding where to go for a one-week escape in mid February. From what we've read Desire is our first option, but we have some questions we hope some of you might help us with:
1. We are not swingers but are very curious about it. We also want to have a nice sexy time and maybe go a little beyond where we have been so far. We've read that Desire doesn't force anything on anyone and that a lot of couples that go there are not swingers. But our question is if it is the place really for a shy but sexy couple to explore new things with other couples without being pulled into something they may not be ready for.
2. We're 28 and 31. From what we've seen, we might be too young for Desire. What's the typical age range for the mid-February crowd. We don't want to be the youngest couple or not find any other couples around our age.
3. How full is the resort expected to be in mid-February. We wouldn't want it to be half empty.
4. This is more practical: is there wi-fi access to internet in the rooms?
Thanks to those of you who are kind enough to give us some advice on this

My wife and i have not been to Desire so my thoughts are just from overall Lifestyle experience. To answer your questions:

1. I would like to think that Desire is the perfect setting to explore your sexy side. No means No in this lifestyle. If someone does ask to join you or inquires to whether they can touch you or your partner, all you have to do is just politely decline. I havent met anyone that doesnt respect your own space.
2. Age I have read, although may seem important it comes down to just being yourself, and the age issues seem to not matter once in the erotic Desire atmosphere.
3. You could call the resort or cantact Daniella for info. they have a toll free number on their website
4. Wifi info is also available on the desire website. Or ask Daniella

I hope this helps. dont worry about the sexy side of the trip. That I think will be the least of your worries. I would be more concerned about where someone put your bubba keg full of your Strawberry Margarita....lol

Enjoy and have a great experience

If you read through the trip reports you will find that many others that go to Desire had the same initial concerns but when they got to the resort they found that that they where able to have just a great sexy time as a couple or if they chose, to take it further with other couples but with no pressure to do so.

Age at Desire is really not a big issue, you can look at a poll on ages that go to Desire HERE and yes you may be slightly on the youger side of the majority but it is more about how open and friendly you are that how old you are.

mid Feb is always fairly busy at Desire RM so there should be a good crowd there.

The Wifi from inside the rooms can be a little intermittent depending on what room you have, but if you go outside on your balcony/patio the Wifi works well.

We've visited several times during early and mid-February, and the resort has always been full. (Canadians, in particular, love to escape the cold weather at that time of year.)

And the age of the guests varies somewhat from week to week, but you'll be fine. We've rarely ever seen much difference from season to season, though. If you are really concerned about it, go when there's a group takeover that seems to skew toward younger guests.

Thank you all for the info.
In your case, nawty2sum, you say that you've been there several times in February, can you tell us approx. the mix by age groups when you were there? Just to give us an idea. For example the percentage of couples under 30. Sounds as if we care too much about this (we have nothing against making friends with oder couples and we don't care if there are not that many people close to our age), but we wouldn't want to be the only ones and would like to have as much info as possible before deciding.
By the way, anyone going the week of Feb 18?
Thanks again

You sound like the perfect match for Desire.
Depending on what part of Canada, try Desire Los Cabos.
Most agree it tends to have a bit of a younger crowd.
Enjoy.

We started a Yahoo group for people going in February this year, and the ages of people in the group range from mid-30s to early 50s. (Of the 30 or so couples entered into the database for the February Yahoo group, 10 have at least one person in their 30s.) I'd say that's pretty typical for that time of year--or just about any time of year, based on several visits there.
