38 days and counting until our first trip to Desire. We are counting down the minutes and starting to think about what to pack. Tons of sunscreen is at the top of the list

What is a non-obvious item that you have packed and were very glad that you did? Or after you got there thought "I sure wish we had brought a _________________"?

We just came back yesterday (And I want to go back today!!!

) and all my wife missed was her hair conditioner
Other than that... we didn't miss anything... except the kids

Pack a big Turvis Tumbler with a top. One of the 22oz ones. They will happily fill it up for you. We read about that took our own and were very happy we did.

We didn't need any repelent... The strong winds took care of the bugs...
I also forgot to mention something really important: My wife forgot her "personal toy"

and we had to buy one at the store... probably the most expensive vibrator in history... but whatever it takes to keep the wife happy

That rocks. My wife has her toys already picked out to bring. Hitachi magic wand is 1st on the list. no couple should travel without one...

Oh Yeah, google bubba kegs. They are awesome. Keep drinks cold over night and your coffee hot for hours. Lets see how many we can get to take them down there.....We can start a bubba club....lol

Bubba Kegs are key! I have a couple football bubba's, 52 ouncers and the Mrs has a pink and lime green 32 ouncer! You'll be glad you packed it! Also, I grab a few Red Bulls and put them inside the bubba's on the trip down to Desire....I can usually fit three in one 52 ounce mug so we end up bring about or 7 for our trip......much, much cheaper than the gift shop. Then on the return trip, I usually buy a few cigars (you know, the good ones...) to take back home and put them in the bubba's for safe packing.

QUOTE FROM POST ABOVE - "Look for the florida state ones to find us!!".....love that from someone with a Miami profile name!
Seriously, another thing is don't over pack, seems like after many trips we've taken less and less each time. Outfits that don't fit in quart size ziplock bag for the women are too big....leave room for the girls shoes!!!
Go Canes!!

Great postings in this section! We have not previously encountered any bugs, so I doubt we will bring anything for them. Regarding the large tumblers, we have and will take them on our next trip to Pearl in June .... yes, staff are great to fill them with whatever you want. Toys ............. well, we have picked out 2 or 3 for the trip and we plan to use them in our room and in the hot tub ... what fun for her/us and anyone that would like to watch! It is all such a great time! Clothing should not be any bigger than what can be squeezed into a ziploc sandwich bag.
