What do we wear on the way to the EWS ceremony ?

One more question:
If we want to participate in EYES WIDE SHUT NIGHT what do we wear in the way to the ceremony? Do we have our outfits and then change them to masks and cloaks (if we do not bring our own cloaks)?

If you haven't brought your own, you pick up your masks and cloaks earlier in the evening. Unfortuantely we haven't been to Desire lately so we don't know what time and where the cloak/mask distribution is. Can anyone fill in more details?
You then change into your masks and cloaks (and whatever you may have on underneath, if anything

) in your room and go to the enclosed palapa in costume.
If you wish, you can even stop for a drink at the lobby bar in costume before the ceremony starts, and see if anyone recognizes you.

Thank you Ottawa_cuple!
We do not want to bring our own cloaks but probably having our own masks could be a good idea. Will we be able to find a good cloaks that would match to our masks? My assumption the cloaks are unisex and do not have so unique design that only particular masks would match to their design. Correct?
I guess, we can wear these costumes after the ceremony as well? I mean to put them on again and wear in disco.
One more thing: we read that EWS is a semi-private ceremony now. Only the participants can see this. If this is not correct and it is open for all (including non-participants) we won't participate. We do not want folks to stare at us and make jokes. I understand it could be funny when people do something in front of others... but we do not want to be a victims

We are shy... Not shy enough to dream about this ceremony and other activities.
Looking forward to meet new friends and have fun at Desire!

loulou,
When we were there last, in March 2009, all the cloaks offered by the resort were solid black, with hoods. In the EWS movie, the cloaks were all solid black, with hoods, and floor-length.
At that time, the ceremony was held in the disco and you could watch but not participate and even not be in cloaks to be allowed into the disco to watch the ceremony, so others will have to answer the rest of your questions.

EWS has really gotten my attention! They did a bad bad thing

From what I've read, it seems to be a very seductive ceremony....hmmm....with no strings attached.
I do think a private ceremony would allow guests to be a bit more on the adventerous side - great idea!

If EWS is now a private ceremony, then the resort should post a theme night for all those who don't participate.

Never did it; never saw it, but from what I read here is what we deduce for our trip next month:
We are planning to wear our own capes and masks with "something" on underneath. Wife will at least wear g-string or thong with mesh top under something yet to be determined. She will be pussy shaven to a short landing strip. I suspect all of the clothing will be gone before too long.
I plan to wear pecker briefs and a tee shirt of sorts. I expect to cleanly shave my ball sack and tight save the rest to a long fuzz. I hope my shorts, and everyhting else clsoe by, come off real quick!
Got a woody just thinking about it!

EWS is now a private ceremony, held in the glassed-in palapa in the lobby area....and they hang "curtains" all around it, so those not in there participating cannot see it......

Well, SOB, is the enclosed glass palapa a good idea or not, grrrrgh.
Nice for guests to use it but once a week (sigh) or tear down the glass walls and move the EWS to another private location?

Its private in the sence that you can come in and watch in costume without fully participating. It is somewhat erotic but maybe a bit outdated. When we were there we watched from the sidelines and participation was limited. We have read that some nights it was canceled because of low interest. I'd rather see a mardi gras theme with masks and beads.
