I remember people talking about the best areas to have a room. What are some of them? I would like to request a specific location prior to arriving. Thank you!

Easy enough, just get on the net and do a search for "Desire Resort Map" and you'll see the individual room numbers. That way you can decide if you'd rather be by the pool, hot tub, beach, gym, etc...!

Hope that helps.

Things to consider when picking a room should include walking distance to the pool and dining area, noise level, ability to walk up (or down) stairs while drunk or in high heels, and the fact that with the right people and the right attitude...every room has the potential of creating great memories.

We were at Desire May 2010, stayed in 2413 - GV room -- could see the ocean, quiet, king bed, great balcony, and for our trip, wonderful neighbors---loved it, we'll ask for the same room when we go back.

We always opt for 2nd floor GV rooms any time we go, first time we stayed on the 1st floor, heard chairs scraping anytime during the day and night for the whole stay! The second floor stays are def worth the slow, drunken walk in heels up the flight of stairs...Just hold tight to that railing!
We have stayed in 2nd floor OV rooms too, and they are quite nice! If you want the generally quieter section, of course, is the side furthest away from the disco, jacuzzi rooftop area, and outside band/ lobby bar area.

Does room # 2413 have that step up or ledge in the floor? I know some rooms do not have it. The beach view is between the OV building in front, right?
