When is it a good time to go for us on the east coast of the US and what would I expect to pay for a 5 day trip not counting airfare?

High Season for Desire is Dec 25th thru April 30th

Just go to the Desire website all the rates for the balance of this year and most of next year are posted there. Desire is pretty much rate controlled so you will pay about the same if you book with them directly or go thru any full service TA that specializes in Desire.

Nudity- there are no guarantees of course, but many years the cheapest time to go is at the height of hurricane season in august and September. This year, in a garden view room you paid the promotional rate- plus got a 4th night free for every 3 you bought, or pay for 5 nights and get 7. That took the cost of a 7 night stay down to $1720 for the two of you. You won't find any promo like that listed yet- this year's didn't come out till July 1st but other years it has come out earlier. When they do come out with promo's like this- they have given the discount retroactively to anyone who booked early.
While that may be the cheapest time of the year, we think the best time is May. The rates go down May 1st to off season rates and the weather is perfect. But May is a very popular month for groups because of that. No free night deals, but all the garden view rooms appear to be sold out for next May already.
You'll get a lot of other opinions about the "best" time to go to Desire- but the reality is there is no bad time !

Thanks everyone, We're going on 2 nude cruises next year (Feb and Oct) so We may get a chance to go to Desire between those months.

If We do go is there a place on this forum where we might make friends with other couples so when we get there we'll know others to look up and say hi too. We haven't ventured in to anything yet except being nude but we would like to make friends with anyone.

Post your dates in the appropriate month Roll Call in the Arriving section and also look to join any Yahoo groups set up for that specific month - folks generally post the link to the month specific Yahoo groups in these threads
