looking for name of a particular room type

We've stayed in the Eden during our previous three visits, but are interested in staying on the legacy side for our upcoming trip. I know that there is room block overlooking the ocean which has a small pool adjacent to it. It is just a few buildings behind the new sexy pool. Does anyone know the name of this class of rooms? Many thanks!

Think you are referring to the Desire Suites. Nice, but very hard to book. Stayed in them twice, but never seem to be available now. Also have rather dicey internal stairs to the bedroom which is upstairs.

Are the villas and desire suites the same thing? I always called them the villas but maybe I am wrong.

Yes. I have no idea why some people started calling them the villas. There is no such room category as ‘villas’ on the booking list.

The Eden ruined the Villa parties. Foot traffic from the Disco and old lobby bar totally stopped.

Are there any rooms with an ocean view with a private balcony? If so what are the room numbers?

Ocean Front rooms with a Private balcony would be the 2nd & 3rd floor Eden rooms - Diamond Ocean View Jacuzzi Suite. You can get a Ocean View, not Ocean Front, with Private Balcony at the Eden Seductive Pool View Jacuzzi Suite.

I believe the Ocean Front Passion Suites are a shared balcony, but it would only be two-rooms sharing.

The Deluxe Ocean View is definitely a shared balcony.

Many room types have balconies with sea view so best just to read the detail room type descriptions. It would be a huge long list of room numbers, and no help anyway as you really can’t request specific room numbers.
Some of the Passion suites are opening onto a long shared veranda. We are generally the type that like our own private space but learned that at Desire this is not as important as other resorts, because you can do whatever you like anywhere. And sometimes it’s fun to see others do just that. Or do it yourself when your inhibitions disappear, which they generally do at Desire!
