yellow bands?

Hello,
We have been to RM a few times but its been a while. I'm reading about new yellow wrist bands for newbies. Can someone please explain how and why this came about?

I think so people will approach them and help them settle in quickly to their vacation rather than be 'wall flowers'. We found that out on a recent vacation and the couple were very appreciative of us helping them get acquainted with the resort and ourselves.

I think the yellow wrist bands are great ice breakers.
Me: so you're first timers, huh?
Them: yes, how many times have you been here?
Me: about 25 times.
Them: oh, so tell me about it.
Works every time. Pam and I have helped many a first-timer come out of their shell.
