Is this crazy?

Postby SLINON » Wed Sep 04, 2013 9:19 pm

My hubby and I are so anxious for our vacation at Pearl on November 15 that we are thinking we just can't wait soooo....I looked up some package prices with Air Canada and we can go to Desire RM Oct 21 for 7 nights for 3574 for both of us! WOW is this cheap or what! If we use our airmiles, we will only be out of pocket 800$ I don't know what to do.....should we try to hold on and wait for November and then possibly next spring at RM or just live in the moment and take this great price with great flight times and go for it? Will there be a lot of rain in September at this time? I checked the (....warning....H word....forecast and there is nothing on the books for now!) HELP.....can anyone sway us? I don't know if these two trips would be too close together....Is there such a thing? lol!! :?

If you ca afford the time - Then just Do IT !

Crazy good price, especially if you use your Star Alliance air miles.

PS - I've never heard of anyone say that they where sorry for booking a Desire vacation too close to another one.....

HA! That's what I thought! We have 2800 of airmiles money to use so not much more to throw in the pot...700 plus a hotel in TO overnight $125, 8 nights parking 65$...WE ALREADY HAVE LEFTOVER PESOS FOR TIPS FROM CABO!... really 1000 bux to go to RM. BUT, I've never been in September....I'm hoping it won't be too rainy???

I have the paid time but hubby doesn't but he just said he'll even go without pay at this price!!!

Can we request a ground floor gardenview? Any suggestions? 1902/01 looks like it's a good location......

Cokemann....do you know which rooms are renovated? It would be nice to request one of these....I'm so damn excited right now I don't think I can sleep until we book it!! lol!

When we go, I do the Desire on line Express Check in and in the special request section put in my top 3 room choices, we almost always get one of our choices.

The Std GV room are not renovated and supposedly all the Deluxe GV room are renovated

Can anyone advise on what is the difference between the standard/deluxe gardenview rooms are? I can't see it reading through the website. I would like to see the new room decor. Last time we were at RM was 2010. I believe the package is for a Deluxe GV!

As noted by a previous poster, you can request room preferences when you do the online express check in. The 1900 building is quite convenient. We ''ve stayed on the second floor in 1911 and enjoyed it, and will list it as one of our preferences on our next trip. However, as it is very close to the nightclub and particularly the lobby bar (which as you know is open 24/7) you will hear some noise if you go to bed (to sleep) prior to 2:00AM. Didn't bother us, but be aware of it.

Pictures look great! I was thinking 1900 block or the next one over 2100's would be a good spot. I remember back in 2010 they always had coffee on early at the lobby bar which would be very convenient to those blocks of rooms!

Hoping it's not too rainy...just did a bit of google searching....they say there is very high humidity and it's really hot. I like the really HOT part! lol
