Travel agent vs. Do it yourself

Was wondering what is best, travel agent or do it yourself online (Expedia, Orbitz, etc.) If travel agent can you give me a good one?

We used DennyP dennyp.com the first time. I would definitely use him again. You don't get any difference in price, but sometimes the travel agent will pay for your ground transportation to and from the resort(Saves $90us)

I used him because I heard that if they oversold, that sometimes they would put you in another resort. I read on this board that they are less likely to do that if you use a travel agent. I don't know if it is true.

For our second trip we are using dreampleasuretours.com because they have a room block for Halloween week. The site says they are sold out, but if you talk to Dreampleasuretours they have a room block for that week.

Thanks to you both for the info. I have talked with Char Travel today. It is amazing how fast RM has booked up. We thought we would have at least another month to decide on things but now it looks as if we need to set it up now.
