Someone on a similar thread suggested checking out how to break into a hotel safe on you tube, so I did. I was amazed at how simple it is. I will never use a safe again. I suggest putting a lock on your suitcase and take the key or combo with you.

Another thing to keep in mind is they don't only have to get into your safe. Somehow they're gaining access to the room. The people we knew that were robbed were 100% certain it happened after housekeeping was in the room. They had counted their money before they went for dinner and the evening shows. The money went missing sometime between 6/7 pm and 3 or so AM.

Every time a room door is opened it’s recorded and management/security can tell what card was used to access the room. Be it guest card, housekeeping, maintenance or turn down service.

They ran a scan on the door and they couldn't even see that the room was accessed. Which basically means being able to track who enters the room is useless because there's a way to open the doors without it being recorded.

It doesn't matter, we're going back. We love the place. Just know your personal affects are not secure. Leave the expensive jewelry at home.... The only cash we take is tip money and if someone steals it, sorry no tips for the staff.
